Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his recent US visit alleged that China has occupied 1500 Sq Km of Indian territory equal to the size of Delhi. However, on 08th June while briefing media on 9 years of Modi Government, Minister of External Affairs Dr. S, Jaishankar categorically stated that the current situation is not about territory rather it is an issue of forward deployment. He responded by talking about 38,000 square km of territory lost to China during last 6 decades in previous regimes. He emphasized that today situation of border infrastructure and troops deployment improved due to increased in budget by 10000 crores from 4000 crore to 14000 in this regime.
