What better way the send off the year than with a little bit of chaos? Sir Pentious has always been a hoot in his design, mannerisms, and his overall nature as a cartoon villain. Yet, like many of the Hazbin characters who are awaiting their turn in the spotlight, there is some serious intent behind his evil given the devastation he is capable of causing. I wanted to tap into that potential with this track, adding in more comedic elements compared to normal while also making it clear that he is determined to make people see what he can do. To that end, the track features a lot of combined elements to really sell Pentious’ dual nature as a soul from the past but one who is keen to tinker and embrace the modern in his quest for domination. Classical instruments and music motifs punctuate damaged-sounding machinery, drum libraries and synths to show that fusion of the two. Having Cycoriot come back to lend their voice to what many consider to be Pentious’ rival in Cherri was a no brainer and I’m once again super thankful for them helping me out. This track has also had an astonishing amount of INCREDIBLE artwork made for it, with many of the artists who generously agreed to take part being names I have admired from afar in the community since before I even started making comic dubs.
