Chen Long was the only seed to make it to the second round, but he then lost in the third round to young Indonesian talent Anthony Ginting. In the end, veteran Dane Hans-Kristian Vittinghus beat young Korean talent Jeon Hyeok-jin 21-16, 19-21, 21-11 to win his first Super Series title.
