SAINT - Too Late For Living - [FULL ALBUM 1988]

🔘 What’s immediately striking is how close Saint is to sounding like Judas Priest. Simple ear-hooking rhythmic patterns covered in dual guitar attacks make up the base structure, while raspy yet concise vocals with chant-like choruses elevate things to new heights. Sounds pretty familiar, doesn’t it? What’s even better is how incredible this is produced, particularly with the way the guitar passages are echoey and distinguishable from one another. Then there is also room for the drums to click harder. All of this allows Too Late For Living to emulate a wide spectrum of sounds. “Accuser“ is a speed metal track with its screeching solo, riding riffs and a thunderous attitude that reflects the devil himself. You also get some falsetto balls for effect. This is serious, straightforward mastery of heavy metal from a righteous state of mind. Despite some of the complexity, each song is short and doesn’t add any extra fat, making everything extremely accessible. The running time is barely over thirty minutes, which is even more reason to give this a spin. Essential listening for all traditional metal maniacs. (*Sleeping Village) _TRACKLIST_ 1.
