Video and images of the Le four solaire d’Odeillo. The solar furnace at Odeillo in the Pyrénées-Orientales in south-east France can reach temperatures up to 3,500 °C (6,330 °F). One way of reaching the solar furnace is to take the Yellow Train (see ) from Villefranche and go two stops beyond Mont-Louis (the usual suggested stop) - alighting at Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via.
