Where Has Our Humanity Gone?

I’ve been struggling with how to express my feelings this past month. I aim to offend no one with this post, though I am sure many might be triggered by what I will say below: We are all grappling with the current conflict in Israel and Gaza in our own ways and through our own perceptions and perspectives. The graphic images we are seeing and experiencing from afar are traumatizing and yet our trauma pales in comparison to those unfortunate enough to be living the veritable nightmare in our screens. Though I sit in the safety of my warm and comfortable environment, it is extremely painful, both because of the feeling of helplessness and at the visual representation of mankind’s lowest depravity and devolution.
