The Marksmen - Lost Guitar (1961)

Melbourne guitarband The Marksmen started in 1961 and were named after lead guitarist Johnny Mark. Other members were Barry Skinner (rhythm gt.), Doug Trevor (bass gt.) and Kenny Williams (drums). Doug Trevor later joined The Cherokees and became a successful songwriter. The group was managed by Bruce Stewart and their recordings for W&G were supervised by Jack Varney. “Lost Guitar“ was released in July 1961 and reached #12 on the Melbourne charts.
