Violent Love (Live) – Oingo Boingo | The Whiskey (KROQ) 1980

By this time Violent Love was already one of the band’s ’old’ numbers, having been part of their Mystic Knights set for years. But they supposedly kepy playing it in this punky new wave version for the fun of turning a seemingly innocent song sleazy and sinister – and annoying easily offended pundits in the audience! Also appeared on the Oingo Boingo EP, though I think it worked much better live as heard in this great recording.
