The Last British Colony in Africa | How Chagossians were Forced off Their Homeland

In the 1960s and 1970s , the UK forced the entire Chagossian population off their homeland so the US could build a military base on the island of Diego Garcia, the largest of the Chagos Archipelago. Since then, families have been separated, living mostly in the Seychelles, Mauritius and the UK.
