TRANSCEND- AN EXPLORATION OF GENDER EUPHORIA, GLITTER FEST HEADLINER Colours that don’t match their flavour, the clangers, sparkling lemon with too-sharp a lemon, a wonky umbrella, candles that smell nothing like they look, Pinocchio, rhinestone baseball bat, and Facebook ad scams. Gender is a complicated and strange thing- it’s something that is both tangible and isn’t at the same time. Being transgender, gender non-conforming and/or non-binary is not an easy life, but in ‘TRANSCEND’ devisors Seirce Mhac Conghail, Mary-Kate O’Harte, Gale Aitken and Seán Loughrey explore the euphoria of being gender non-conforming.
