Posted @withregram • @ ❤❤❤ During a trip to Tashkent, we visited Sheikh Khovandi Tohur and Tolе bi mausoleums with the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ozodbek Ahmadovich @ozodbek_axmadovich . Sheikh Khovandi Tohur was a scholar and Sufi who lived in the 14th century and was a follower of the teachings of Ahmed Yasawi. He is remembered by the nation as a saint who called people to knowledge and leaders to peace and harmony. Tolabi was buried around the mausoleum of the sheikh in the XVII century. This man, also known as Kaldirgochbiy, was one of the chief judges of the Kazakh people and one of the authors of the code of laws «Zheti Jargy» We also visited the tomb of Hazrat Imam (Hastimam) on the Sebzor massif in Old Tashkent. I was lucky enough to see the oldest copy of Hazrat Uthman Mushafi’s Holy Quran, which is kept in the Muyi Muborak Madrasah. This blessed Koran was transcribed on a deerskin in the 7th century (644-648 AD) by the order of the third caliph Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him).
