A salute to Stuart Hamm

Hi again. As you can read at the beginning of the video, this is a humble homage to my biggest influence as a bass player. I decided to create this video as a celebration of the end of a long waiting time. It was 19 years ago when I saw Stu for the first time playing his Trans Blue Kubicki Ex Factor and he simply blew my mind, both because of his unique style and the coolness of his bass. I recorded myself playing an excerpt of Stu’s “Country Music (A Night In Hell)“ as he played it on the intro of his first instructional video “Slap, Pop Tap For The Bass“ (well, not really like he played it, but at least trying to do my best). You’ll hear it first at the real tempo and then at 75% of the original speed. Hope you enjoy this new effort. And one more time, no words are enough to express my infinite admiration and gratitude, Stu. You are Surely The Best.
