Swan Lake Reloaded - Tchaikovsky meets Streetdance

Swedish choreographer Fredrik Rydman creates a twenty-first century take on ’Swan Lake’, bringing in street dance, contemporary dance, pop music, electro, smartphones and special effects to transform the ballet classic. His ’Swan Lake Reloaded’ turns evil sorcerer Rothbart into a pimp and drug dealer, while his swan maidens become heroin-addicted prostitutes. Rydman not only uses the music of Tchaikovsky but also special composed work of a host of Swedish and international pop and rock writers. The show opened in Stockholm 2011 and has been on tour since then. So far sold out seasons in Stockholm, Essen, Berlin, Vienna, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Gothenburg, Hamburg, Paris, Geneva, Linz, Milano, Moscow and London. “This does for the 21st Century what Matthew Bourne’s version did for the 1990s. The show of the year.“ Daily Express “Dynamic, delirious, most ambitious and effecting piece of street dance theatre I’ve seen“ The Times Facebook: Twitter:
