«Спанья» — танец эпохи Возрождения - “The Spagna“ Renaissance Dance

The choreographies described in dance treatises of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries serve to reconstruct the dances that were practiced in the European courts of the time. The Spagna, the spagnoletta, the canaries or the folia were dance forms that came to embody the archetype of the Spanish in that historical period. In this concert, focusing on dance music, a pair of dancers recreates these historical dances to the accompaniment of a varied ensemble of minstrels.
