DMITRY BIVOL (RUSSIA) vs JEAN PASCAL (CANADA) FULL FIGHT

Ok, guys so I’ve got a banger for you in this video. We are looking at the WBA Light Heavyweight clash between Dmitry Bivol from Russia and Jean Pascal from Canada. This was a 12-round championship contest where Bivol was the regular champion defending his title against the challenger Pascal. Now remember guys, this defense was only for the WBA regular World Light Heavyweight championship but not the full WBA Super World Light Heavyweight Championship, which I might add that Bivol was later elevated to, I believe around the time he fought against Gilbert Rivera and Craig Richards. So guys, I need to bring this to your attention as it assists you as coaches and developing boxers. When a boxer is training he must be focused on performing drills... not for the sake of saying that he does drills, or as fitness work or tikTok or whatever it may be. Rather, the emphasis of performing drills is to acquire the mastery of skill. And skill is efficiency in technique. So it’s just like unlocking new abilities or new tools that you can use in problematic situations or tools you can use to set up scenarios where you have the advantage. Now the reason why I say this is because in this particular fight, Jean Pascal did not look like he was equipped with sound technique or at least technique that he felt he could rely on within this fight. You can notice this by going back and observing that most of his movements looked improvised as opposed to trained and specific to what could be deemed as technique. On the other hand, if you look at Bivol his movements looked specific and trained.
