Human Brain Mapping Project by SYNAPSE

Scientists from #NUSMedicine are working as part of an international team to produce the world’s first ultra-high resolution 3D comprehensive human brain map. Leading the Singapore team is Assoc Prof Low Chian Ming from the Department of Pharmacology and Department of Anaesthesia. He shared that the brain map will lead to findings which could potentially contribute to effective treatment for brain diseases. Involving over 1,000 researchers from the Asia Pacific region under a collaboration called Synchrotron for Neuroscience – Asia Pacific Strategic Enterprise (SYNAPSE), the brain map project is expected to be completed by 2024. #NUSResearch #NUSInnovation
