Worshipers bathe in Ganges for Akshaya Tritiya festival

Thousands of Hindus gathered in Prayagraj for the annual spring festival of Akshaya Tritiya to celebrate prosperity and new beginnings. They bathed in the waters of the Ganges, made offerings of milk, flowers, and water on the riverbanks. Many believe that taking a bath on Akshaya Tritiya washes away sins and one can attain eternal virtue. ’Nothing bad happens by worshiping on this day; Whatever you do today, you will get good results,’ say the attendees.
