NUAGES - LARRY CORYELL & PHILIP CATHERINE

Another favourite track of mine from the fine acoustic guitar LP “Twin House“ of Messrs. Coryell and Catherine. “Nuages“ is, of course, the beautiful Django Reinhardt composition, that he himself first recorded on October 1, 1940. The way the two guitarists inspire and spur on each other - as is evident throughout the whole album - is simply a joy and reaches its climax in the last chorus, before some subtle harmonics softly close out the tune. A truly sublime interpretation - enjoy!
