Clinical breast exam A clinical breast exam or (CBE) refers to an examination of women’s breasts by a health care provider like a physician, nurse, or a gynecologist. Throughout the breast exam, the woman would undress from the waistline up. The registered nurse will primarily check out the woman’s breasts for irregularities in both size or shape, and look out for any changes in the skin of the breasts or nipples. Then, while using the pads of the fingertips, the health care provider will delicately sense
