Senior Russian officials express dissatisfaction over western involvement in Ukraine conflict

Russia has evidence that EU embassies in Moscow are planning to interfere with the upcoming presidential election, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed at a youth forum on Monday. Lavrov also called the presence of Western mercenaries and military instructors in Ukraine, as well as the recent leak of a conversation by high-ranking German military officers on missiles for Ukraine, a “deception” Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, commented that Russia will show restraint, but will not forget. Russian media recently published a leaked audio of conversation of German military officers discussing how Taurus long-range cruise missiles could be used by Kyiv against Russian forces. The German government has vehemently rejected allegations. On Monday, the German ambassador was reportedly summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow.
