Watch out, Xi! UK sends in Royal Navy to South China Sea to join forces with US and Japan. BRITAIN is sending its Carrier Strike Group to Asia in a “confident but not confrontational manner“, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has said. The £3 billion warship, with eight RAF F35B stealth fighter jets on board, will be accompanied by six Royal Navy ships, a submarine, 14 naval helicopters and a company of Royal Marines. The CSG, which will carry out visits to India, Japan, South Korea and Singapore, will include the US destroyer USS The Sullivans and the Dutch frigate HNLMS Evertsen.
