Juliane Shibata | “Mutations“ Installation at CBS Conservatory | A film by Alex Olson

In this “speculative ceramics” installation, Juliane Shibata explores the idea of mutations in plant development, both man-made and naturally occurring. Shibata designed eight imagined mutant species based on real plants in the collection and installed her porcelain sculptures amidst their real counterparts in the College of Biological Sciences Conservatory at the University of Minnesota.
