From Penta:
Hiya. I’ve written some music before, including lyrics, but I’m happy to be making my official debut on this channel with TGO. Kilo pitched the idea of making it a “divorce anthem” about Marie being emotionally unavailable, and I thought using the ocean as a metaphor for a distant, unattainable object of affection (and seaglass as a metaphor for an admirer whose fruitless longing will slowly destroy them) would fit the title of the song.
Mega thanks to Sally for the instrumental and Ollie for the audio mixing. Go check out their channels for more top-quality splontent (Splatoon content). Stay tuned for Tidal Rush, maybe?

Lyrics:
Shattered and sharp, a shard of glass shallow-set in the sand (eroding away)
Slowly sheds her jagged edge (with the tidal waves, tidal waves) all throughout the day
In hopes of turning to precious stone, she puts her trust into the waves
The uncaring tide that weathers her down to grains
On a moonlit night, you wait upon the shore, look out to the sea
At the water’s brink, you call into the dark, “Please come back to me”
But the ocean is cold, and it cannot hold you, hope as you may
And though you cry out, the tide only recedes
