‘Who does he think he is?’: Douglas Murray slams Robert De Niro over Trump criticism

Author Douglas Murray has slammed Robert De Niro’s criticism of Donald Trump saying it just encourages “more voters to silently vote” for Trump. Actor Robert De Niro made an appearance outside the courtroom of Donald Trump’s hush money trial to say Trump would ‘never leave’ if he was re-elected. “The only impact that Robert De Niro and other celebrities have when they do this kind of thing is to encourage more voters to silently vote for Trump,” Mr Douglas told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “First of all, what is someone like De Niro thinking of? Who does he think he is? What does he think his role is in society? “He has no special insights.”
