Blues Legend Otis Rush Makes Rare Appearance At Chicago Bluesfest

Blues Legend Otis Rush, who is 81 years-old and suffered a stroke in 2004, made a rare appearance at the 2016 Chicago Bluesfest. He appeared to be honored by the City of Chicago, which named a day after him. He was handed the microphone and led the audience in a brief call and response. Rush thanked everybody. His appearance preceded a tribute to Otis Rush, which included an array of blues stars—some musicians who played with him and some who are trying to carry on his legacy.
