Skill: Broad jump! Jumping and landing mechanics are crucial skills for strong running. And the broad jump is a great exercise to drill your ability generate power from the hip and hop and land with stable joints! Performance Points: • Effective use of hip to generate powerful jump. Aka, full hip extension! • Keep that knee out! Resist all inward rolling of the knee. • Collapsed arch? That’s weak sauce! A stable ankle needs an active arch.
