26th January Republic Day Parade Updates: India is celebrating its 75th Republic Day today with French President Emmanuel Macron as the chief guest. The official programme will commence at the Kartavya Path after President Droupadi Murmu unfurls the tricolour, which will be followed by the national anthem. Meanwhile, the national capital has been placed under a blanket of security, with more than 70,000 personnel deployed across the city. A total of 14,000 personnel have been deployed in and around the Kartavya Path for security. In this year’s parade, the centre of attraction would be the indigenously developed Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas and the recently inducted C-295 transport aircraft as they will make their inaugural flypast.
