Full title reads: “Rome. The Return of the Italian Air Armada. Welcomed by Signor Mussolini, General Balbo and 100 air- men march triumphantly through the City.“ Rome, Italy. Benito Mussolini (Il Duce) and other Italian Fascist leaders shield their eyes as they watch out for the return of the Italian fliers. Group of flying boats fly overhead in formation. Quick shot of fliers leaving their panes and coming ashore. Massive crowds watch as flying team march past ancient Roman monuments. Mussolini stands and receives greetings from the leader of the Air Armada Marshal / General Italo Balbo. This ceremony creates Balbo the first Air Marshal of Italy.
