Malcolm Scott Carpenter’s Space Triumph (1962)

Cape Canaveral, United States of America USA. American commentary, transcript on file. VS. Astronaut Malcolm Scott Carpenter being fitted into space uniform. VS. Tests being made on Carpenters space suit prior to flight, John Glenn stands by. MS. Carpenter climbs into the transfer van which will take him to pad. LS. Night time and the Aroura 7 a giant Atlas Missile stands on the pad at Cape Canaveral in blaze of lights. VS. The transfer van arrives at the launching pad and Carpenter makes his exit and walks straight into the lift that will carry him to his capsule. MS. As lift makes its way up gantry to the top. MCU. The astronaut takes up his position in the capsule. VS. Around Cape Canaveral cameramen and reporters are preparing themselves. LS.
