The story is about a courtesan, Vasantsena (Rekha), and her chance meeting with a poor Brahmin man, Charudutt (Shekhar Suman), in Ujjain. This song shows a lovelorn Vasantsena adding her perspective to Charudutt’s poem of loneliness by adding a woman’s point of view. She explains the situation of the forlorn woman waiting for her lover, to her companions, who tease her about it. Rekha is at her graceful best dancing to the lovely composition of Vasant Dev and Laxmikant - Pyarelal.
