UNITAR-NYO and The International Academy for Arts and Cultural Studies is proud to present “Mid-Summer Concert,“ a multi-faceted event scheduled to take place at the iconic United Nations - Sputnik Area on 1 August 2024. This event is a highlight of Carnegie Hall’s World Orchestra Week and the UNITAR - Qatar Fellowship Programme, celebrating the convergence of music, animation, youth art education, and cultural diplomacy. The event will include a UNITAR-QLC fellowship certificate ceremony, and feature performances by the United Nations Festival Orchestra for Hope and the National Children’s Symphony of Venezuela, showcasing repertoire that reflects cultural heritage and the global mission of the SDGs. The repertoire will include the “Girl’s Frontline Suite“ by Yang Haoming and “Carnival of the Animals“ by Camille Saint-Saëns. Complementing the musical performances, Sunborn will present an 30 min long inspirational animated video, enriching the auditory experience with visual storytelling that highlights themes of peace, resilience, and hope, provide an immersive experience in the concert in order to help understand and feel the meaning of SDGs.
