TOP SPEED 183mph in My Shelby GT500 with TheStradman!

I went with @TheStradman to find the top speed of my Shelby GT500! After a drive out to a dry lake bed, it’s time to put the foot down up to the limited top end speed of 183mph. The GT500 is an absolute beast! I’m spending a few days with James and Burlacher, and after a full TheStradman supercar collection tour and a run out in the Bugatti Veyron, it’s time to up the pace. Strad has often taken his cars out to the dry lake bed to see what they can do; from the 458 Italia to Corvette C8, but this time around my brutal Mustang is giving it a go with some other friends too. After a few runs to build up to it and get used to the loose and unusual surface, it’s eventually building through the 180mph mark and onto what seems like an electronic limiter regardless of gear at 182/183mph indicated. It’s believed that the GT500 can do 186mph from what I’ve read and therefore it’s no surprise to fall a touch short considering the surface is not tarmac. Next up, will be t
