Socalled and Toronto Jazz Orchestra @ Bela Farm

The North American premiere performance of an amazing new program of Yiddish big band arrangements, created by Roman Britschgi and Andreas Pranzl, for the one and only Josh “Socalled” Dolgin. The program is performed with the Toronto Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Josh Grossman, and was recorded July 20, 2021 at Bela Farm in Hillsburgh, ON. Presented by Ashkenaz as Episode II of “Nu? Normal! The Barn Sessions.” Presented in association with Bela Farm, Shoresh, Small World Music, Committee For Yiddish, Kultura Collective, TD Toronto Jazz Festival, URGNT, BLOK, National Museum of American Jewish History, Yiddish Australia.
