Titles read: “CINETOPICALITIES IN BRIEF“. Various locations of events. In Ferrara, Italy, we see several shots of fishermen bringing in a large catch of fish in nets. The fish are caught in artificial locks designed divert the fish from their usual path along the rivers. Various shots of the ornate and highly decorated caravan belonging to a Hungarian writer who is travelling the world with his wife and son, while gathering material for a new book. His wife is an artist; we see her painting an earthenware plate. Commentator says the family sell the plates to meet expenses. We see newspaper cuttings about the family in a scrapbook and see the stamps of numerous different countries in their passports. In New York, United States of America, we see various shots of mannequins modelling the latest fashions in evening gowns. Commentator mentions wearing these “after dark“ fashions in the blackout.
