Vos of Racine County was first elected to the State Legislature in 2004. He is the 75th Speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly and is the longest-serving speaker in state history. He’s successfully led a large and diverse Republican caucus but in the past year has faced criticism from local republican party members about his handling of the 2020 election.
