Next-generation Infantry Fighting Vehicle - Project Land 400 Phase 3
The next-level protection, firepower and mobility of Australia’s future Infantry Fighting Vehicle will give Australian soldiers the best possible chance of completing their missions and returning home safely to their families.
The two contender vehicles are the Hanwha Defense Australia Redback and Rheinmetall Defence Australia KF-41 LYNX. Both vehicles recently conducted the first phase of extensive user evaluation field trials and a firepower demonstration at Puckapunyal Military Area.
The Infantry Fighting Vehicles will replace the current, ageing M113 Armoured Personnel Carriers, which have been in service since the mid-1960s.
