Strong cold snap turns Asia’s biggest bamboo forest into ice land

A cold snap swept through the Cai Lun Bamboo Sea in central China’s Hunan Province on December 10 and 11, turning Asia’s biggest bamboo forest into a landscape of ice. The bamboo forest stands at more than 1,000 square kilometers. The forest is named after Cai Lun, the inventor of papermaking in China almost 2,000 years ago.
