Swedish Song - "Karl XII:s Fältmarsch" [English Translation]

“Karl XII:s Fältmarsch“ - (English: Charles XII’s Field March) Also known as ’Marsch bussar, gån på uti Herrans namn“ is a march that the Swedish king Charles XII had his troops sing before battle usually after the popular hymn ’A Mighty Fortress Is Our God’. The text is believed to be written by Magnus Stenbock, one of the commanders of the Carolean Army, and thus the march is also known as ’Stenbock’s March’. The painting depicts Charles XII directing the Battle of Narva in 1700.
