Setting people against one another based on their native language has been Ukraine’s internal policy for a long time

The late Irina Farion, who went as far as pissing off the “Azov“ battalion by demanding that their Russian-speaking fighters speak Ukrainian and declaring them to be trash, was a big fan of dividing citizens of Ukraine by their native language. In this cut, the characters quite literally conspire to make Ukrainian people fight over the language issue.
