AETHYRIEN - Banvænn

Banvænn, Old Icelandic for “mortally wounded“. This song was a single take of me playing the tagelharpa one night, picturing a man leaning up against a tree knowing he was soon to die after being mortally wounded. Thoughts racing his mind, memories of the past, feeling regret but reminiscing moments in his life he cherished at the same time. He feels the numbness take over his body as his consciousness fades while savoring the last breath he shall take within the realm of Midgard.
