Fraud, but My Fault #life #lesson #information #important #fraud #news #short #channel #money #reel
Well, there’s no mincing words: this was my fault, and I’m dumb.
Generally, when you cancel a service, they stop charging you for it.
In the case of Netflix, however, they restarted the subscription one day after the cancellation date.
And, because I’m dumb, I didn’t go over my credit card statements with a fine tooth comb (or, to be fair, even really give them much of a once over) and catch it until seven months later.
.
Dumb.
Naturally, Netflix was apologetic and refunded all the money.
HA!
I kid.
I had to fight with them for about an hour in order to get an “extreme special circumstance, one-time three-month refund.”
So they still made out with four months of payments.
Their line was, “talk to your bank.”
Well, it was a credit card, but tomato/tomahto.
The credit card company said that once it’s past 60 days, there ain’t squat they can do about it, so…
Yup.
My favorite part about this is, and I put it in the video: when I asked who restarted the subscription, they didn’t know. When I asked if someone was currently using my subscription, they said they couldn’t figure that out.
So, as stated in the video, go back to sharing Netflix passwords, everyone.
They’re not cracking down as much as they say they are.
But, they might be charging you, if you cancelled. Go check.
