The Collection # 1 - Egyptian Triptych, one of my Royal School of Needlework Apprenticeship pieces
In the first of an occasional series exploring my collection of hand embroideries I talk you through the inspiration, planning and stitching of a triptych I stitched as part of my 3-year apprenticeship at the Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace, London. This piece includes tapestry shading and natural silk shading (long and short stitch) as well as goldwork and appliqué embroidery.
