y’all. i had the BIGGEST sweeney todd phase when i was middle school (also i’m pretty sure johnny depp and helena bonham carter were my bisexual awakening). i was obsessed with all versions of the musical, from its various stage productions, to the movie, everything! i especially adored the character, mrs. lovett, and i spent a lot of time studying her character and writing about her ( wrote a few fan fiction drafts). with my obsession for this musical grew my desire to one day play her. however, my local theatre groups rarely did this show, and if they did i was too busy to audition. imagine how much joy it brings me to finally record this as a cover, and to perform it with someone as talented as barry! i’ve been wanting to cover this song for a while, and i figured october would be the perfect month to do it. :) 🎶 COVER CREDITS — Original song from the musical “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street“ video:
