Stanchinsky: Prelude in the Lydian Mode (1908)

Alexei Stanchinsky (1888-1914) was a well-respected composer in his day; composers like Prokofiev, Medtner, and Feinberg admired his works. However, he died tragically young and has largely been forgotten--as far as I know, several of Stanchinsky’s works have never been recorded.
