Climate change activists turn Venice’s Gran Canal green in protest

Climate change activists turned Venice Grand Canal’s water green on Saturday (December 9) to protest against a lack of action against climate crisis at the COP28 conference in Dubai. Protesters from “Extinction Rebellion“ dumped fluorescein into the famed Grand Canal, colouring the waters green while others were hanging with ropes from the Rialto Bridge, holding a banner against the governments’ policies on climate change.
