The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Knights

The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Knights – is a 1951 Soviet hand-drawn animated feature film and produced at the Soyuzmultfilm studio. It is an adaptation of the 1833 poem of the same name by Aleksandr Pushkin. Tsarevna kills her stepdaughter by giving her a poisoned apple, because she was more beautiful than Tsarevna. The poisoned girl falls asleep like dead. But, her fiance finds and awaken her with a kiss. Then, Tsarevna dies of anger and envy. 01:09 – Beginning of the story. 02:44 – Tsarevna asks the magic looking-glass for the first time. 03:47 – Tsarevna asks the magic looking-glass for the second time. It answers that the Princess is the fairest.
