Alec R. Costandinos Vol. 8: Paris Connection [Full Album] (1978)
Following the success of Romeo & Juliet, Love And Kisses’s How Much, How Much I Love You and their title song to the movie Thank God It’s Friday, Alec R. Costandinos was interviewed for Billboard in New York in April 1978 where he announced he had completed two new albums, one telling the story of the Hunchback Of Notre Dame, the other being a studio project called Lauriston Connection, as well as preparing a 12-LP set called Arabian Nights to be released over the following two years.
While the Arabian Nights project never materialised, Lauriston Connection eventually became Paris Connection (despite being recorded in London). It was released in September 1978 and featured two side-long medleys re-interpreting the 60s classics Eloise, You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling and Unchained Melody, and introducing Arthur Simms on lead vocals. Neither the album nor the single Eloise (the A-side in Europe) / You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling (the A-Side in the USA) gained any interest. While sid
