Covid-19 Delta variant cluster spreads in China’s eastern Jiangsu province

Subscribe to our YouTube channel for free here: China has seen a rise in Covid-19 infections in the eastern city of Yangzhou, where officials attribute the surge to the Delta variant and possibly a spread of cases from the nearby city of Nanjing, which had a similar outbreak two weeks earlier. Nanjing responded with pandemic-related travel restrictions, which are now being relaxed. Yangzhou put similar restrictions in place on August 7, 2021, in an attempt to curb the spread of the highly contagious variant.
