Alexei Navalny’s wife: ’I will continue my husband’s fight for a free Russia’

The wife of Russia’s slain opposition leader says she will take on his husband’s role as Russian authorities are refusing to release Alexei Navalny’s body to the family. Yulia Navalnaya, Mr Navalny’s wife, said on Monday she would step in to take over the cause of bringing democratic change in Russia in respect to her husband’s memory and aspirations of all democratically minded Russians. “I’m going to keep up with Alexei Navalny’s struggle,” a visibly distressed Ms Navalnaya said in a video statement, adding that his allies knew “what exactly” the Kremlin killed Mr Navalny for - but she only share that later. #navalny #russia #ukraine Subscribe to The Telegraph with our special offer: just £1 for 3 months.
