When it was revealed that, as part of the agreement to elect Kevin McCarthy House Speaker, a committee would be established to investigate possible illegal activity by the FBI, Democratic “Squad” member Ilhan Omar expressed support at the idea of reining in the wayward law enforcement agency. But in the intervening week or so something’s changed, as Omar voted in lockstep with her fellow House Democrats to oppose this committee’s formation and to defend the integrity of the FBI.
